All aboard to the Isle of Man! Steam Packet Company 2019 fast craft sailings commence


There is so much to see, do and experience in the Isle of Man, and with the return of regular sailings from Dublin and Belfast on the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s fast craft Manannan, getting there is now even easier.

Travelling by ferry is the perfect start to any visit to the Isle of Man. Plus, with more than 900,000 offer seats available with the Steam Packet Company during 2019, now is a great time to book.

You can enjoy the freedom to bring your vehicle, meaning you can explore the island at your own pace. There’s also the additional benefit of no luggage fees so you can bring everything you need for the perfect break.

The Isle of Man, affectionately known as the gem of the Irish Sea, is home to spectacular scenery, sandy beaches, picturesque glens and seaside villages, offering an idyllic retreat for every type of getaway.

Whether you fancy a gentle stroll or a challenging hike, there’s a variety of footpaths which will help you discover more of the island’s unique beauty. Thanks to its diverse terrain, the Isle of Man is also a popular destination for cyclists.

Make the most of this by bringing your bikes with you, it’s free of charge when you travel by ferry. Simply attach your bikes to your car, or if travelling as a foot passenger, with fares starting from £19.50/€23.50 for adults and £10.50/€12.50 for a child, simply push them on board, and enjoy peddling through the stunning Manx scenery during your visit.

For those seeking a little adventure, activities including sea kayaking, coasteering, gorge scrambling, rock climbing and abseiling are among the adrenaline-fuelled experiences you can take part in, making your time in the island unforgettable.

When it comes to relaxing and refuelling there’s a variety of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, many offering delightful delicacies bursting with fresh local produce.

Throughout the summer, families can take advantage of the Kids Go Free Summer Special, from £133/€158 each way. Simply book a car and two adults to travel between 2nd July and 29th August and up to three children can travel for free.

There are various car offers available including the popular Five Day Short Break from just £97/€115 each way for a car and two adults, giving you the freedom to explore as far and wide as you choose.

Manannan returns to service on Friday 29th March operating daily sailings from Liverpool to the Isle of Man. Regular Irish sailings resume on Sunday 7th April from Belfast and Thursday 18th April from Dublin.
