Medical Conditions and Pregnancy

If you have any medical requirements or are travelling whilst pregnant please see the information below prior to travel,

Despite our best efforts, travel can be stressful. Passengers with known or suspected health problems, or undergoing medical treatment are advised to seek medical advice before making a reservation and before travelling.

We welcome pregnant passengers but please note there are no trained medical professionals on our crews. Therefore we strongly recommend passengers should be fewer than 32 weeks pregnant at the time of their sailing, and subject to them not having received medical advice not to travel.

Carriage is permitted on board company ships and while transiting Steam Packet passenger terminals, provided passengers comply with the following: You must carry a valid prescription with appropriate identification to support your prescription, The product must be kept in its prescribed packaging (with name and quantity label still attached), You are willing to show your prescription and ID to either port security personnel, ship’s crew or port officials on request. If you are unwilling or unable to provide a valid prescription and ID on demand the police may be called to verify the legitimacy of the CBPM.

Passengers are recommended to inform the IOM Steam Packet Company prior to travel with their booking detail so that a file note may be added to their booking details. (Passenger details are protected under GDPR).

It is highly recommended during the crossing the CBPM is left in either a locked vehicle or in luggage that is checked in. If carrying CBPM within the passenger areas on board the CBPM should be kept out of sight not be left unattended at any time.

It is recommended passengers inform the Passenger Services Officer on board the ship before consuming in a smoking designated area on board. It is recommended CBPM consumption should not be in the vicinity of other passengers to avoid any potential complaints or altercations.
