Liverpool Victory Parade InformationIsle of Man pet owners advised to check requirements ahead of travel plans to Northern Ireland this summer
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is advising pet owners to carefully check requirements ahead of travelling to Northern Ireland this summer, in order to avoid disruption or disappointment.
It follows changes to regulatory requirements as a result of the Windsor framework introduced after the UK left the European Union.
Belfast Port has confirmed that from 4th June it will be introducing additional checks inline with the rest of Northern Ireland.
Any traveller arriving with a pet in Northern Ireland from the Isle of Man will be required to be in possession of an Animal Health Certificate issued by their vet.
Animal Health Certificates are valid for one journey only.
Lifelong pet travel certificates issued in England, Scotland or Wales are not valid for any pets arriving into Northern Ireland from the Isle of Man.
It is important to ensure that you and your pet are fully compliant before travel to avoid any delays or disruption upon arrival at your destination.
For additional information please see the Isle of Man Steam Packet’s Customer Service FAQs section, visit the Isle of Man Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture’s website, or speak to your vet.
