IOMSPC provides update to customers regarding Manannan sailings on Tuesday

While Isle of Man Steam Packet Company engineering crew and workshop team are working to hard resolve ongoing technical issues, the company is providing an update on Tuesday’s Manannan sailings.

As previously confirmed, specialist engineers are on route to the Island to assist with repairs, and IOMSPC’s own team is working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

Currently, both the 07:00 sailing to Dublin and its 10:45 return, and the 15:00 to Liverpool and its 19:45 return remain subject to confirmation.

A further announcement about these sailings will be made by 19:30 this evening, subject to progress on repairs and the advice of specialist engineers.

A final decision on the sailings will be made by 05:30 on Tuesday at the latest.

Customers wishing to make changes to bookings on any of Tuesday’s Manannan sailings may do so without amendment fees. They are also able to request a full refund.

Customers without access to an online account are able to contact the reservations team or visit terminals during opening hours.

In the meantime, Ben-my-Chree will conduct another freight-only sailing to and from Heysham tonight in order to maximise available private passenger space on Manxman to carry travellers displaced from Manannan. The Company will continue to provide free coach transfers to and from Liverpool Ferry Terminal for foot passengers until Manannan resumes normal service.

IOMSPC Managing Director Brian Thomson commented, ‘Everyone in the Company is working as hard as possible to resolve this situation and to assist everyone to get where they need to go.’

‘Our advice is if you need to make changes to your booking is that the quickest place to do this is online’

‘If you do need to speak to a member of our team please ensure you have all your booking details to hand to make this as quick and convenient as possible for you.’

‘Please also remember to be polite and patient – we’re handling a very large number of calls and enquiries, our teams are working as quickly as they can, while we can sympathise with the frustration, our people deserve respect and civility.’
