A week-long run of the musical comedy ‘The Addams Family’ is being supported by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
The show will make its island debut next month and is being produced by Centre Stage, in association with the Manx Gilbert & Sullivan Society, with props and the set being transported with assistance from the Steam Packet Company.
The show will run from 12th-19th October 2019 at the Gaiety Theatre and will centre around the ghoulish Addams Family on the fateful but hilarious evening they meet their daughter Wednesday’s new, respectable boyfriend and his family for the first time.
Val Cowley, Chairman of Centre Stage Productions, said: ‘We’re really excited to be bringing this production to the island for the first time. It’s a fun show and something a little different for our annual stint at the Gaiety Theatre. We’re hugely thankful to the Steam Packet Company for its support which is instrumental in putting on a top-class show, and we hope the audience enjoy it.’
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive, Mark Woodward, said: ‘The standard of stage shows in the Isle of Man is excellent and ‘The Addams Family’, which is well known for its quirky, dark humour and characterisation, will no doubt be another big hit. The Steam Packet Company is delighted to be supporting this show and helping to bring yet another sensational production to Manx shores.’
Tickets for ‘The Addams Family’ are available from the Villa Gaiety box office and the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal.
