Fast craft Manannan was in collision with Victoria Pier on arrival in Douglas last night, having left Liverpool at 19.05.

 

The vessel docked in Douglas around 22.40. All passengers and vehicles were disembarked, including five passengers who suffered injuries. They were taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

 

The Steam Packet Company is investigating the cause of the collision and Manannan will be assessed overnight for damage, but Thursday morning’s 07.30 departure to Liverpool is likely to be disrupted.

 

A further update will be issued in the morning, including details of any revision to the day’s schedule.
