This year’s Christmas pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre will transport you to a fantasy land, thanks to support from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
The company is sponsoring Parker & Snell’s production of Sleeping Beauty by shipping the full set from the UK – including the evil Maleficent’s lair.
The panto gets underway on Friday, December 18th and runs through to Saturday, January 2nd.
Sleeping Beauty producer Carl Parker said: ‘We are bringing in the full set from Glitter Pantomimes in Nottingham, a professional company. The Steam Packet Company has kindly agreed to support us by transporting over the full set – which includes back cloths, portals, the King and Queen’s palace, and Maleficent’s lair.
‘It will look incredible, and the entire cast and crew can’t wait for what will be a fantastic, fun-filled Gaiety Theatre over Christmas and New Year.’
Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘Moving a full set is a large undertaking and we are only too glad to help. Each Christmas the Gaiety Theatre provides a superb setting for what are traditionally packed out pantos. I’m sure Parker & Snell and everyone involved with this production will continue that trend.’
