At the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, we are proud to support our community. Through the Manx Community Assistance (MCA) Scheme, we help local groups and organisations create opportunities that might otherwise be difficult to achieve.
In June, we were pleased to support the Erin Arts Centre as they welcomed performers from across the British Isles and beyond for the landmark Mananan 50 Festival. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the festival delivered a vibrant programme of music, theatre, dance and visual arts, showcasing a rich mix of international talent alongside homegrown creativity.
We also supported rising Manx band Silo as they travelled to perform at the UK’s iconic Download Festival for the first time. Securing a coveted slot at one of the country’s biggest rock and metal events, the five-piece are quickly making their mark on the international stage, performing alongside established acts in front of thousands of music fans. Building on this momentum, we will continue to support the band with travel as they head to the 2000trees Festival this July.
A Continued Commitment to the Island
The Steam Packet Company has a long and proud history of supporting the local community, spanning more than a century. That commitment remains as strong as ever, with community support firmly embedded in the Company’s values.
By evolving the Manx Community Assistance Scheme, the Company aims not only to provide practical support, but also to amplify the stories of the organisations and individuals making a positive difference across the Island.
In addition to the MCA Scheme, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company continues to support the Island’s community through its Supported Sports Scheme and fundraising travel vouchers, helping clubs, individuals and organisations represent the Isle of Man both on and off the Island.
