Supporting More Local Initiatives
The MCA Scheme is designed to help local groups and organisations deliver opportunities that may otherwise be difficult to achieve. From sporting competitions and cultural events to educational trips and community projects, the scheme plays a key role in supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful benefits and strengthen the Island’s community.
The introduction of a second application window ensures even more organisations can benefit from the scheme.
A Simpler, More Flexible Approach
Earlier this year, the Steam Packet Company introduced several key improvements to the MCA Scheme, making the process more accessible and transparent.
Key updates include:
These changes have made it easier for organisations to apply, plan more effectively, and make full use of the support available.
Building on a Strong Start to 2026
So far this year, the Company has supported almost 50 local causes through a combination of the MCA Scheme, the Supported Sports Scheme and fundraising travel initiatives. This ongoing support highlights the Steam Packet Company’s dedication to giving back to the Island and supporting the people and organisations that helps our community thrive.
The second MCA application window provides another opportunity to extend that support even further. To view the Supported Travel application timeframe, click here > Supported Travel Timeframes
