Having successfully completed the programme, he is now serving as a Third Officer.
Head of Human Resources, Ethel Docherty, said, "We are incredibly proud of Jay and all that he has achieved. His journey from Cabin Crew to Third Officer is a fantastic example of the career opportunities available within the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and the wider maritime industry.
Jay is the first employee to complete this development pathway through Isle of Man Maritime while progressing through the ranks within our fleet, making his achievement especially significant. His success demonstrates where commitment, determination and the right support can lead.
