Did you know that Isle of Man Steam Packet Company customers with an online account can access bookings 24/7, including making amendments or cancellations, with no need to speak to our Reservations Team over the phone or in person?
It is quick and easy to do, which can be especially useful for customers when we are experiencing high levels of demand and our staff are dealing with a large number of requests.
If you’re unsure how to amend or cancel a booking online, don’t worry, it’s simple – just follow our handy step-by-step guide below.
AMEND YOUR BOOKING
Step 1: Login to your account
The first step is to login to your Isle of Man Steam Packet Company account.
If you don’t have one you will need to register online with us first. Make sure the email address you register with is the same one that you used when making your booking so that the booking can be linked to your account.
Step 2: Select the sailing to amend
Once you’re logged on, select the sailing you wish to amend by clicking ‘Review’.
Step 3: Amend Booking
From there, you’ll be taken to a new page where you will be given a number of options, as seen in the image below. To change your journey dates, select ‘Amend Booking’ on the right-hand panel.
If the sailing you are booked on has been cancelled or severely disrupted due to bad weather or any other reason, you can modify the booking from this page free of charge. Otherwise amendment fees apply as per our Terms & Conditions. Please also note, if you change to a higher fare type, you will need to pay the difference.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the impact of this on travel for passengers, amendment fees have been waived for all bookings until 30th April to allow passengers to book alternative services. For up-to-date information, head to our website.
Step 4: Search new dates
On this page, you can choose your preferred route and the date of your new sailing by using the dropdown boxes. If it’s a return sailing, you’ll be able to do this for both legs of your journey as seen below.
Once you’re happy with your preferred alternative date(s), hit search.
Step 5: Choose your alternative sailing(s)
You’ll then be shown the sailings available based on the route and date options selected – simply click on your preferred option(s).
Once you’re happy with the new sailing options, select ‘Proceed’. Alternatively, you can select cancel to return to Step 3.
Remember, if you opt for a different fare type or there are no Special Offers available for your new dates, you may find there is a difference to pay.
Step 6: Add Extras
You’ll then be offered the opportunity to add any available extras, such as reserved seating in the Niarbyl Lounge. The applicable cost of the extras available will be displayed.
Step 7: Secure Booking
Once you’ve decided on any additional extras to add to the booking and selected ‘Proceed’, you’ll be asked to secure the booking. Simply check the details and choose ‘Proceed’.
Step 8: Booking Confirmation
The process is now complete and you’ll be taken to the Booking Confirmation page. Please print/save this for future reference.
This confirmation will also be sent to the email address that is registered to your account.
CANCEL YOUR BOOKING
During these uncertain times, we understand the need to offer flexibility for our passengers.
As mentioned, amendment fees have been waived until 30th April so customers are free to move their travel dates free of charge.
In addition, we are also offering free cancellations for those who were due to travel between March – 30th April and have booked a non-refundable Special Offer. Online account holders travelling between now and 30th April are free to cancel their bookings online and receive a full refund, simply follow the step-by-step guide below.
Please note, the refund policy will be reviewed if travel restrictions continue.
Step 1 & 2: As per above
Step 3: Cancel Booking
To cancel your booking and receive a full refund, simply select ‘Cancel Booking’ on the right-hand panel.
Step 4: Confirm cancellation
You will then need to confirm that you wish to cancel the booking and receive a full refund. To confirm, choose ‘Yes’ below ‘Would you like to proceed with the cancellation?’
Step 5: Booking Cancellation Confirmation
Once you have cancelled your booking, you’ll be taken to a confirmation page. This confirmation will also be sent to the email address registered to your account.
Your refund will be processed onto the credit/debit card used to make the booking within one month .
