A Unique Off‑Road Rally Experience on the Isle of Man
While the Isle of Man is best known for its iconic road racing, the Island also hosts a range of off‑road events that showcase its rugged landscapes and quieter corners. One of these is the Circuit of Mann, a distinctive off‑road rally that brings riders and spectators together in and around the town of Ramsey.
Organised by Ramsey Motorcycle Club, the Circuit of Mann is a well‑established event and forms part of the ACU British Bike Rally Series[RH1] , attracting competitors from across the UK.
A unique off‑road rally experience
The Circuit of Mann is designed for adventure bikes, enduro machines and classic Vinduro bikes, combining long off‑road routes with special tests that add variety and challenge. Each lap includes two tests, typically featuring a mix of forest and sand sections, with locations chosen to make the most of the Island’s natural terrain.
Both tests are accessible to spectators, offering the chance to see riders tackling technical sections up close. The inclusion of sidecar teams adds to the uniqueness of the event, and watching them charge through the special tests is a memorable experience for spectators.
Ramsey at the heart of the Circuit of Mann
Usually held in early autumn, the Circuit of Mann forms part of a wider calendar of off‑road and enduro motorsport on the Isle of Man. Alongside summer events such as the ACU British Enduro Championship, also based in Ramsey, it highlights the Island’s appeal to off‑road enthusiasts.
Beyond the event itself, visitors can make the most of coastal scenery, countryside routes and relaxed evenings in local cafés, pubs and restaurants, making Ramsey a natural base for an Island break.
