Nestled along the stunning North Wales coastline, Llandudno has long been the perfect destination for a memorable day trip. With its charming Victorian architecture, scenic seafront, and rich history, you’ll be spoiled for choice planning your time.

Whether you’re looking to relax on the beach, explore fascinating local attractions, or simply wander through its picturesque streets, Llandudno has something for everyone. Its combination of natural beauty, entertainment and heritage makes it an ideal spot for a day out, whether you're travelling with family, friends, or on your own.

Here are the top five things to do during your visit:

1.    Take a Ride on the Great Orme Tramway
A trip to Llandudno wouldn’t be complete without a ride on the Great Orme Tramway. This historic cable tramway will take you up the stunning Great Orme, a majestic limestone headland that offers breath-taking panoramic views of the Irish Sea and Snowdonia mountains. Once at the summit, you can explore the various walking paths or visit the Great Orme Copper Mines to delve into the area’s ancient history.

2.    Stroll Along Llandudno Pier
The Victorian Pier is one of the longest in Wales and offers a peaceful walk with picturesque views over the sea. With its arcades, cafes, and shops, it's the perfect place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze, indulge in some traditional seaside treats, and take in the stunning views of the bay.

3.    Visit the Alice in Wonderland Trail
Llandudno has a special connection to Lewis Carroll’s beloved Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Follow the town’s unique Alice in Wonderland Trail, which features sculptures and plaques celebrating characters from the story, offering both a whimsical experience and a fun way to explore the town.

4.    Relax on North Shore Beach
For a more laid-back day, head to Llandudno’s North Shore Beach. This wide, sandy beach is ideal for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, or simply unwinding by the sea. The gentle waves and picturesque backdrop of the Great Orme make it an ideal place to soak up the atmosphere and relax.

5.    Explore the Mostyn Gallery
For those interested in art, the Mostyn Gallery is a must-visit. Located near the seafront, this contemporary art gallery hosts a range of exhibitions, including works by local and international artists. It's a great way to add a cultural touch to your trip and appreciate some of the creative talent that thrives in North Wales.

Whether you're seeking exploration, history, or relaxation, Llandudno is a quintessential British seaside escape that evokes the charm of a bygone era.
