The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company wishes to advise customers that Manxman will remain in dry dock beyond its planned return to service as essential works are undertaken. During planned maintenance and inspections, further necessary repairs were identified that will require additional time to complete.
Ben-my-Chree will continue to cover the sailings to Heysham with the Arrow returning to the Island to provide additional capacity for our freight services during this period. The Company is reviewing its operational plans to minimise disruption wherever possible and will continue to keep customers informed of any service changes.
Managing Director Brian Thomson said: "We recognise this news will be frustrating for many of our customers and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Extending the dry dock is necessary for safety and operational reliability. Completing these additional works now will ensure the vessel can continue to provide a reliable and dependable service in the years ahead.”
We apologise for the inconvenience and disruption this may cause and passengers affected by any changes to our scheduled sailings will be contacted directly over the coming days. We would like to thank customers for their patience, understanding and continued support while these essential works are completed.
