The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is making alterations to its published Liverpool schedule this Autumn in order to accommodate works at the port.
The Department of Infrastructure, as owner of the Isle of Man Ferry Terminal facility, has requested access for their contractors to undertake work on the berth.
The Company is committed to minimising the impact on passengers and ensuring that sailings continue as close to schedule as possible.
However, to enable the work to be carried out, sailings to and from Liverpool on November 1st and 2nd will now operate to Heysham, with coach transfers to Liverpool Terminal laid on for affected passengers.
The Company is in constant contact with DoI in order to be able to implement the scheduled service as quickly as possible.
Managing Director Brian Thomson: “We know this is frustrating and disappointing for passengers. However, by making limited changes to the schedule now, it is hoped the necessary works can be undertaken to allow us to offer a comprehensive schedule of weekend sailings to Liverpool throughout the rest of the Winter.”
All affected passengers will be contacted by our Reservations Team. For any sailings changed to Heysham, a coach to Liverpool will be available for foot passengers. Should any passengers wish to cancel their sailings, full refunds will be made.
