Cooish Vooar is a five-day celebration of Manx language, music and culture, featuring an exciting programme of concerts, events, activities and unique cultural experiences for all ages and language abilities. Whether you're taking your first steps in learning Manx or are already a confident speaker, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Alongside the festival's flagship events, visitors can take part in language workshops, cultural talks, traditional music sessions, community gatherings and a variety of immersive experiences celebrating the Isle of Man's rich heritage.

Caillagh Manx Opera
When: Friday 25 September
Time: 7pm Where: Peel Cathedral
Caillagh is a tale of an enchantress, of loss and of hope told with outstanding performers for the very first time here on the Isle of Man. Ta Caillagh ny skeeal mychione ben-obbee as mychione coayl as treishteil, t'er ny insh liorish cloiederyn yindyssagh son yn eer chied cheayrt ayns shoh ayns Mannin.
In the story, we meet Jinnee, a young woman grieving her mother on St Stephen's Day as everyone is out hunting the wren, just as an extraordinary encounter is about to change her life.
Celebrate the very first Manx opera this September.
This performance will be an open dress and will run as a normal performance.
Yn Mheilla

Yn Chruinnaght present a joyful celebration of the harvest - Yn Mheillea - through a variety concert of Manx music, song, dance, folklore and poetry.
Intergaelic Song
