Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races
The first Southern 100 Road Race meeting was held in 1955 and many future British and World Champions have cut their teeth over the 4.25-mile Billown public road course, situated on the outskirts of Castletown in the south of the Island. Four action packed days, followed by the unique Open Air Prize Presentation in Castletown Square adds a special finish to what has become known as ‘the friendly races’.
The international event, which traditionally takes place in July after the Isle of Man TT Races, is an undulating and technical mass-start road race, which has drawn fans and riders to Manx shores for over 65 years.
The action-packed meeting has firmly established itself as one of the most popular road racing events in the motorsport calendar, attracting big-name riders’ year-on-year.

Cubbon House is a 4 Star Silver B&B ideally situated on the promenade of the Island’s capital of Douglas, adjacent to the main shopping area and just a five minute walk from the Sea Terminal.
From Cubbon House, a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, wine bars and pubs which are all within a walking distance.
Bus stops outside the B&B service the main routes across the Island, making sightseeing without a car easier.
