Isle of Man Steam Packet Company partners with Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancers Support Group to assist transportation costs

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is proud to announce its sponsorship of Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancers Support Group, assisting with transportation costs through its Manx  Community Assistance scheme. This initiative, led by the Steam Packet’s Wellbeing Committee and spearheaded by Head of HR Ethel Docherty, underscores the Company’s commitment to supporting local charities and the important work they do for the community.

Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancers Support Group play a crucial role in raising awareness and funds to support those affected by cancer in the Isle of Man. By assisting with transportation costs, the Steam Packet Company aims to support these organisations to focus on their crucial fundraising efforts and community support initiatives.

Julie Stokes and Carole Male, representatives from Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancers Support Group, expressed their gratitude for the sponsorship:
“This support from the Steam Packet Company is invaluable in helping us continue our work and enables us to allocate more funds directly towards supporting breast cancer patients.”

Ethel Docherty, who has been instrumental in facilitating this partnership, highlighted the importance of corporate support for charitable initiatives: “We’re honoured to support Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Mannin Cancer Support Group and the fantastic work they do. Providing assistance to local charities and initiatives that help others is incredibly important to us.
