It gives us great pleasure to share a first look on board our new flagship, Manxman. A lot of time and effort has gone into making sure it delivers the reliable and high-quality service you deserve. Our passengers’ preferences are woven into every part of the build and fittings, for years of comfortable and enjoyable crossings.
Manxman has a passenger capacity of 948, that’s over 300 more than the Ben-my-Chree. It has 10% more lane capacity for vehicles too. But that doesn’t mean it’s vastly bigger. Its open and spacious feel comes down to clever use of space and design. Here’s what else you can expect to find.

Whether you’re travelling on business, or setting off on holiday with the family, Manxman’s clever layout creates the perfect space for everyone. The public areas on the vessel are all fully wheelchair accessible. From the start, Manxman’s design has tried to accommodate all user groups’ needs.
There are cafés, bars and a selection of quiet spaces, plus plenty of things to see and do for the little ones – there’s even dedicated space for your pets.
As well as accessible cabins Manxman has accessible toilet facilities, plus an adult changing/toilet area with a hoist. Three lifts service each passenger deck making it easier to enjoy all the facilities. And the walls and doors throughout the vessel are different colours to make them easier to distinguish, and orientate yourself on your journey.
Take in the impressive sea views over a freshly brewed barista coffee at the Cornaa Café at the front of the vessel, on deck 7. It has a relaxed atmosphere with all-table seating and large picture windows, which make it feel bright and welcoming.
Try out some locally produced spirits and beers such as Cronk Y Voddy vodka and Bushy’s continental style Pilsner, Nörseman at our bar. It has a fresh modern feel, with sunny yellow bar stools and plenty of comfortable seating. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the crossing
Travelling with little ones can be a juggle, if you’re battling bags and buggies head over to the Manxman’s dedicated family zone. There’s plenty of space to spread out plus a bright and friendly children’s play area to keep them entertained for the journey. You can find both on deck 7 close to the shop.
We have a range of on board pet facilities including four pet friendly cabins and two pet lounges at the top of the stairways that link the car deck, kennels and pet exercising area (deck 7). There are also two sets of purpose-built kennels with CCTV monitoring (deck 6). So there’s nothing for your pet to growl about.
If you’re looking for space to relax or work, or want to get your holiday started early with a few treats and luxuries, there are plenty of ways to upgrade your crossing. Manxman has a selection of premium lounges, each with a unique atmosphere.
There are 40 cabins in total on the Manxman with a range of facilities including tea and coffee and TV on demand. Six of these are fully accessible.
This lounge comes with a choice of club-style seating or semi-reclining seats that face floor-to-ceiling windows.
