Following the cancellation of the 2020 Isle of Man Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has confirmed it will be contacting all affected passengers.
Anyone currently booked to travel from 19th August – 4th September inclusive will be offered the chance to transfer their booking to next year’s event or, alternatively, receive a full refund. There is no need to immediately contact the Company as they will be in contact with an automated rebooking/refund form by mid-May, as soon as provisional 2021 timetables have been finalised.
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward explained:
"Naturally it is extremely disappointing that there will be no Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix in 2020 but, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the health and wellbeing of those on our Island has to be the number one priority.
As with this year’s TT, we will be facilitating the same process to allow customers to seamlessly transfer to the equivalent sailings for 2021 or receive a full refund. This has been very well received by TT passengers so we hope it will be the same for this event.
We thank passengers for their patience and understanding while our Reservations Team works through this period of extremely high demand and we confirm the schedule for next year’s event."
Those booked can transfer to 2021 at the same rates as 2020. Amendment fees have also been waived for the time being to allow passengers to book alternative services.
