About the Role:
Steam Packet Holidays is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Passenger Services Assistant to join our friendly team. This varied role involves assisting customers with holiday and travel bookings, providing outstanding service across multiple platforms, and supporting the smooth operation of our busy department.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle customer enquiries via email, telephone, and face-to-face.
Check accommodation and ferry availability and process bookings.
Follow up on outstanding payments and confirm hotel reservations.
Respond to messages and social media enquiries.
Assist with website content updates.
Build and maintain professional relationships with travel partners.
Represent Steam Packet Holidays at industry events and exhibitions.
Person Specification:
Proven passion for customer service and sales.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Confident with numbers and pricing packages accurately.
Ability to upsell services and handle booking enquiries effectively.
Positive, proactive problem-solver and team player.
Comfortable using booking systems, social media, and web tools.
Previous experience in customer service or travel/hospitality (desirable).
