The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will be an official sponsor and partner of the 2020 Classic TT.
It’s been confirmed the company will be an official partner for the event this August, as well as the title sponsor of an exciting new initiative, the Classic TT Auction.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Classic TT Auction will be held during the August Bank holiday weekend in a specially constructed venue in the Classic TT Paddock in Noble’s Park and will be open to both online and bidders attending.
Operated by Charterhouse Auctioneers, it will allow motorcycle fans the opportunity to view and buy a variety of rare vintage bikes, racing machines and memorabilia.
Charterhouse has more than 20 years’ experience with vintage motorcycle auctions and is inviting lots from parties interested in selling prestigious bikes and other high value memorabilia.
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘We have long been synonymous with the TT, Manx Grand Prix, Southern 100 and Classic TT and to be title sponsor of this inaugural auction is very exciting for us and further enhances the Island’s pedigree as the road racing capital of the world.
‘The Classic TT is one of most prestigious and fastest growing events in the Island and it’s wonderful to see the races going from strength to strength. We feel the auction will generate further prestige and interest and provide an added attraction to fans.’
As an Official Partner for the Classic TT, the Steam Packet Company will also work alongside The Department for Enterprise (DFE) to encourage people to visit the Island and ensure their customers have a positive and enjoyable experience in the Isle of Man.
