The Steam Packet Company will once again support the Isle of Man TT Marshals’ Association by providing a discount for marshals who attend both the TT and MGP during 2012.
The news was announced at the recent MCN MotorCycleLive Show at the NEC in Birmingham. In addition to the discount, the Steam Packet Company will assist the IOMTTMA with volunteers’ travel costs when they visit shows for promotion and recruitment drives.
Terry Holmes, Chairman of the Isle of Man TT Marshals’ Association, said: ‘We are truly indebted to the Steam Packet Company for the help and support they have given the Association over a number of years. It has been a great help to us in our quest to recruit sufficient marshals to provide cover around the TT Course.’
Brian Convery, the Steam Packet Company’s Sales Development Manager, explained: ‘The IOMTTMA does a vast amount of work throughout the year to ensure that they have enough cover for all of the practice and race sessions. It is important that they get to as many shows as possible and the Steam Packet Company is happy to assist them in their endeavours to recruit more marshals.’
