ISLE OF MAN STEAM PACKET COMPANY APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Jude as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Duncan will be responsible for the Company’s accounting, finance and IT departments.

Duncan said: “I am delighted to be joining the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. With new vessel Manannan joining our fleet in May, this is an exciting time. I am very much looking forward to the new and varied challenges which lie ahead.”

Duncan moved to the Island in 1985 to teach English at Ballakermeen High School, following his graduation from Manchester University.

In 1987 he joined Touche Ross where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant before joining a local ship management company in 1993.

He changed his career path in 2000 by moving into the financial services industry and for the past eight years he has held senior finance roles with both a leading private bank and an international life assurance company.

Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: “I am delighted Duncan has joined our team. He is a highly motivated and experienced individual and I am sure his contribution to the business will be invaluable going forward.”
