Gandeys Circus: Roar!

Manchester’s world famous Hallé Orchestra are set to perform at the Villa Marina on Saturday 23rd July 2022 at 7.:30pm and we’re delighted to be sponsoring this great event, presented by the Isle of Man Arts Council. We’re offering you the opportunity to win two tickets to the Saturday evening performance.

After the successful sell-out performance in 2017, the Hallé return with Music Director and Conductor Sir Mark Elder and guest soloist Benjamin Grosvenor.

With a programme including Musgrave and Sibelius, the evening also includes Benjamin Grosvenor performing Beethoven’s monumental Piano Concerto No.4 in G Major, which he also performed at the 2021 Proms. Benjamin has been heralded one of the most important pianists to emerge from the UK in several decades. His virtuosic interpretations are underpinned by a unique balance of technical mastery and intense musicality. Recent and forthcoming highlights for Benjamin include engagements with the Chicago, Baltimore and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras, Philharmonia Orchestra, Scottish Chamber, Hamburg Staatsorchester, City of Birmingham and Symphony Orchestra.

The Saturday evening concert forms part of a weekend of entertainment and education by the Isle of Man Arts Council. Sunday afternoon opens the Royal Hall to the Hallé Come and Play scheme, allowing school children of all ages to take part in a concert with the famous orchestra.
