The terminal and car marshalling area will open 2 hours 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Check-in opens 2 hours 30 minutes prior to sailing.
Car passengers should check in at the vehicle booths at the entrance to the Princes Landing Stage. The latest check-in for car drivers and their passengers is 45 minutes prior to departure.
Foot passengers should check in at the Passenger Terminal on the landing stage, at least 25 minutes prior to departure.
Some events being held in Liverpool may cause congestion and roads to be closed. It is important that you plan your journey to the port in advance to ensure you arrive in time.
CAR PARKING FACILITIES
Unfortunately due to space restrictions we are unable to offer our travelling customers a car parking facility at the port. Journeys through Liverpool Lime Street will be affected for 23 days, from 30 September to 22 October 2017, while Network Rail undertakes vital upgrade work. The station will be fully closed for part of this period. The work is part of a £340m railway investment programme by Network Rail and Liverpool City Region taking place from now until 2019.
Engineers will be remodelling station platforms, increasing them in number and in length. Work will also take place to install overhead line equipment to power electric trains and upgrade track. This is the first period of upgrade work, a further stage will take place in 2018. Once the work is complete passengers will be able to enjoy three new services per hour in and out of Lime Street station, including new direct services to Scotland (starting in 2019), more reliable services and a re-modelled concourse.
A revised transport plan will be in place:
Phase 1: 30 September to 8 October 2017 - Liverpool Lime Street station will be fully closed. Liverpool South Parkway will act as an interchange for passengers coming from the south and east via Warrington Central and Crewe, you can then access the city by changing onto the Merseyrail network. A bus replacement service will run between St Helens Junction / St Helens Central and Liverpool Lime Street.
Phase 2: 9 October to 22 October 2017 - Train services via St Helens stations will have access into Liverpool Lime Street platforms 1 and 2 between 06:00 and 20:00. At other times buses will run between Huyton and Liverpool Lime Street. Liverpool South Parkway will continue to be an interchange for all other services.

Liverpool Lime Street is the closest National Rail train station and approximately 1.5km walk from Liverpool Port. Mersey Rail provide train services from James Street to Lime Street. Please visit the National Rail website for the latest timetables.
There are two bus stops at Liverpool Port found on Princes Parade and St Nicholas Place. Please visit the Mersey Travel website for the latest bus timetables.
Passengers can check luggage in for a cost of £2.50 per bag.
The left luggage facility is strictly for the day of travel only. Bags cannot be left overnight or for longer periods of time.
Luggage will only be accepted prior to check in and will not be accepted once check in is operational.
All luggage will be security screened by security and loaded ready for shipment to Isle of Man and will not be accessible to passengers after it has been checked in.
The departure lounge in the passenger terminal on the landing stage has a range of vending machines.
