Milenco by Padgett’s Honda Racing team and riders ‘Ramsey Rocket’ Conor Cummins and Davey Todd are all set for racing to get underway at TT 2022.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has backed Padgett’s for several years and is thrilled to continue that support for the TT and Manx Grand Prix later this year.
The Padgett’s team features the Steam Packet Company logo on all its bikes and race leathers and Ramsey man Conor, who is a Steam Packet Champion, can’t wait for racing to start.
He said: ‘The Steam Packet Company is a great supporter of the TT and has built a strong relationship with Padgett’s. This link makes such a difference to the team, Davey and I, and we are keen to repay that support with success at this year’s TT. The buzz for this year’s event is incredible. It’s hard to believe that, because of Covid, it is three years since racing last took place around the TT circuit – it’s great be back!’
Hailing from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, 26-year-old Davey made his TT debut in 2018 and the following year achieved five top 10 finishes, including sixth place in the Senior TT.
Team boss Clive Padgett said: ‘The Steam Packet Company is one of our key partners. The Company does so much to support the Island’s sporting community and we are honoured to have it backing Conor and Davey again this year. Conor is an established TT star, and it is wonderful for us to be able support a local Manx lad. Davey’s superb performances in 2019 marked him out as a name to watch and we can’t wait to see what he can do this year. After no TT in the last two years, the anticipation for this year’s festival is at fever pitch.’
Brian Thomson, Steam Packet Company Managing Director, said: ‘The Steam Packet Company has a long history with the TT – we have been ferrying TT riders and fans since the first bike races were held in 1907. We love the TT and are delighted to support Padgett’s once again at this year’s event. We wish Conor and Davey all the best for when racing gets underway on Saturday.’
