Isle of Man Steam Packet Company launches ferry sailings for 2022

4/5/2021

Island residents can start planning their future travel with the release of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s full 2022 timetable.

Sailings from 3rd January 2022 onwards are now on sale with passengers able to take advantage of more than 900,000 offer seats available throughout the year.

As the Isle of Man Government progresses its plan to relax border restrictions over the next few months and gradually remove restrictions, the Company is looking forward to welcoming passengers on board for sailings to and from UK and Ireland once again in 2021. The early release of the 2022 schedule will allow those looking to plan a future break in the UK, Ireland or beyond to book now.

The Company has maintained its ‘Book with Confidence Commitment’ to help make travel as flexible as possible and give customers peace of mind when planning. The Commitment allows for amendment fees to be waived if passengers need to make changes, along with the promise of a full refund if travel is affected by COVID-19 Government imposed travel restrictions.

All available offers for 2022, which include the popular 5 Day Short Break Offer, Kids Go Free Summer Special and Adult and Child Foot Passenger deals, can be found at www.steam-packet.com/offers

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘After not being able to travel freely for some time, we’re looking forward to welcoming passengers on board once more for the remainder of the year and hope the early release of the 2022 timetable will help Island residents plan ahead and book something to look forward to. I am sure many are keen to start arranging a well-deserved break and we hope our great range of offers will be useful for our valued customers.

‘Our Book with Confidence Commitment provides customers with the reassurance that their booking is safe and fully flexible if there are future COVID-19 Government imposed travel restrictions that are out of their control. We look forward to welcoming passengers on board in the near future.’

As standard, the Ben-my-Chree will operate twice-daily crossings between Douglas and Heysham throughout the year. Between March and October 2022, fast craft Manannan will operate her usual services into the heart of Liverpool. The fast craft will also provide seasonal return ferry travel to Belfast and Dublin.

Passengers can sit back and relax in one of the spacious lounges or stretch their legs throughout the sailing, taking in the sea views on the outside deck. Of course, there is also the chance to refuel before their onward journey at the Coast to Coast Café, as well as enjoy a spot of on-board shopping at Ocean Avenue.

Travelling by ferry also lends itself well to breaks during the current climate with the ability to bring your own vehicle and drive straight on and off to your chosen destination - keeping contact with others to a minimum. Or, for an added level of privacy, passengers can book a cabin on Ben-My-Chree subject to availability.
