Passenger Services Assistant, Ferry Travel Shop – Permanent
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, customer focused person to join our team in the Ferry Travel Shop (Douglas, Isle of Man), who will go the extra mile in providing professional and quality service to our passengers.
About the role
Our Ferry Travel Shop team provide the highest levels of customer service, whether they’re helping passengers with making a ferry booking over the telephone or in person, booking a travel and accommodation package through Steam Packet Holidays or by making sure our passengers start their journey with us right, with a friendly face checking them in. This is a permanent role after a successful six month probationary period, with an immediate start. The role includes shift work, with start and finish times varying depending on our sailing schedules.
About you
This role is based in our Ferry Travel Shop in Douglas, Isle of Man, you will be friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and a quick learner. You’ll take great pride in what you do and be committed to delivering the very highest level of customer service. Experience in retail, hospitality or other customer services environments would be advantageous, as would cash-handling skills and working to a roster system.
Training
Our familiarisation training is focused on providing a service which reflects safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Second Engineer/Relief Chief Engineer – Permanent
About the role
Working on the company’s current flagship, Ben-my-Chree, the Second Engineer will support the Chief Engineer Officer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship’s plant and machinery.
One week on, one week off rotation. Joining port is Douglas, Isle of Man. Competitive rates of pay.
About you
This is a busy role but we are looking for individuals who want to progress beyond their current role and start taking charge in certain areas.

Seasonal Cabin Crew April – October 2022 (multiple vacancies)
We are recruiting for the 2022 season and are looking for people to join our on board service team who will go the extra mile for our passengers to ensure that their journey is comfortable and enjoyable.
About the role
Our on board cabin crew staff provide the highest levels of customer services to our passengers – whether it be our retail, food or beverage outlets. Working roster 4 days on, 2 days off, end of Season Bonus for full completion of contract
