Vehicle guidance

The Company does not permit any charging of Electric vehicles on any of its vessels. This includes electric bicycles and scooters.

You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is in a fit state to travel. The Company can refuse loading of any vehicle for safety reasons. Vehicles with obvious defects found at check-in or loading can be refused loading. Damaged electric vehicles must have all batteries disconnected before travel, with a certificate from the competent individual to confirm the vehicle is safe to travel.

The Company collects and analyses a range of information about trends, preferences and behaviors in order to provide a better service for its customers.

As long as the bike fits within the overall dimensions of the vehicle there is no additional charge. Bicycles on the roof of a vehicle form part of the measurements, this should be declared at the time of booking.

Vehicles carrying, or designed, to carry goods such as vans and pick-up trucks, are normally charged at Commercial (freight) fares and should be booked via our Reservations Team. Vans, pick-ups and other commercial vehicles travelling for private use only may be booked online. We offer a concession to allow customers in low commercial vehicles not exceeding 6.5 metres in length and 3.0 metres in height to travel using private rates. The reason for travel MUST solely be for private purposes and that your vehicle should not be carrying goods or tools used for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to inspect vehicles and their contents at check in. Vehicles carry commercial goods, tools or equipment will be charged excess at commercial rates. Failure to pay will be taken as grounds to refuse travel.
