The Snaefell, formerly the Sea Express 1, has returned to Douglas Harbour this afternoon, having undergone a fresh paint job to reflect the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s new brand style.
The vessel will be in use from 9 May, and in the mean time it will be undergoing sea trials and will be used for staff training purposes.
The Snaefell is the last of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company fleet to be re-branded inside and out with the new colours and logo. John Watt, Commercial Director said: “With the traditional designs, the Manx heritage focused names and the reintroduction of ‘Isle of Man’ into the company name, the vessels and the operation as a whole look stylish and contemporary, while at the same time paying homage to 178 years of service to this Island”.
