The fuel surcharge is calculated in strict accordance with the terms of the agreement with the Department of Transport and is based 50 per cent on the weighted average marine fuel cost incurred over the three months prior to the review date and 50 per cent on the forecasted costs forward three months.
Reviews, under the fuel surcharge agreement, will take place every three months. Surcharges will be based on fluctuations in both gas oil and heavy fuel oil and will be applied at the time of booking. Changes in rates only apply to new bookings.
The system is set up to quote the cheapest fare available at the time of booking. If you are not being quoted a Special Offer fare then it means that the allocation of Special Offer fares has already sold out on your requested sailings.
On Fast Crafts
Dogs are carried only in vehicles on the well ventilated car decks. The only exceptions are Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs such as Hearing Dogs and Dogs for the Disabled (accompanied by an owner).
On Conventional Vessels
For the benefit of all passengers it is preferred that dogs travel in vehicles on the well ventilated car decks. On the Ben-my-Chree there is a designated side lounge in which passengers may travel with their dogs. There is a charge of £5 per dog per single leg crossing. There are two cabins which can accommodate dogs with their owner at a cost of £36 per cabin per single leg crossing for day sailings and £59 per cabin per single leg crossing for overnight crossings. We reserve the right to restrict the number of dogs which may be booked on a particular sailing.
From the age of 16 years. The child must have a letter from a parent or guardian giving permission to travel. Please read our terms and conditions
Can I send a car or package on your vessels unaccompanied?
Permission must be given by the port and would be on a stand-by basis. Contact our Freight Office on 01624 645620 for details.

I have not received my ticket. Can I travel with just a booking reference?

Do I have to upgrade when making the booking for 1st Class or can it be added at a later stage?
You can upgrade at any time before you travel - at the port on the day of departure or on-board subject to availability.
How do I get a refund if I need to cancel a booking and will there be a charge?
Many of our offers are non refundable. If you have booked a standard fare and you need to cancel, you will be charged between 10% - 100% depending on when you have booked or how far in advance you cancel. Please write to our refund department to claim a refund. Please read our terms and conditions.
